35-13 Tie Plate Sweeper

The Kershaw 35-13 Tie Plate Sweeper is a heavy-duty brush wheel tie plate broom capable of removing all ballast and debris from the tie plate areas after new tie insertion.  It removes ballast from the tops of ties in preparation for insertion of tie plates and fasteners. The broom reel consists of 228 standard 18-inch  long rubber elements held in place by clamps and sweeping the full width of the tie. 

This machine is powered by a CAT C2.2 T4F engine. The engine delivers 40 horsepower at 2800 rpm. The engine drives one hydraulic pump that powers all hydraulic functions of the machine. The engine as a system consists of the Caterpillar engine, the cooling system, the combustion air system, the exhaust system, the aftertreatment system, the lubrication system, and the fuel system. It meets all current EPA and EU standards for exhaust emissions and is US EPA Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IV compliant.
